PIERRE REEVES
Pierre is the founder of True Lies and currently fulfils the roles of Senior Investigator and Managing Member of various operational and financial aspects of the business. Pierre has wide-ranging experience within various fields of crime investigation. He possesses specialized interrogative skills and has in excess of 34 years of knowledge as an Investigator. Pierre is also a qualified Polygraph Examiner and holds various investigative qualifications, including a National Diploma in policing. He is internationally accredited as a Forensic Examiner and is an associate member of the American Polygraph Association (APA). He is also the Vice-President of the Western Cape Chapter of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI).
CHRIS DU TOIT
Chris currently fulfils the role of Senior Investigator at True Lies, having joined the company in 2008. Chris has in excess of 34 years of experience in various fields of criminal and civil investigations and possesses highly developed interrogative skills, having served in various specialized units within the police from 1986 to 1999. Chris is also a qualified Polygraph Examiner, is internationally accredited and is an associate member of the American Polygraph Association (APA).
LEON NOTHNAGEL
Leon is a Senior Forensic Investigator at True Lies and currently fulfils the role of Retail Risk Consultant for The Spar Group. He has wide-ranging experience, having held various specialised roles during the time he served within the police, from 1980 to 1998. He also has a wealth of knowledge in Human Resource Management and Labour Law and holds many accreditations in those fields. Leon is also a qualified Polygraph Examiner, is internationally accredited and is an associate member of the American Polygraph Association (APA) and a member of the British & European Polygraph Association (BEPA).
Johan De Lange
Johan is a highly skilled examiner with extensive training and experience in both the administration of polygraph examinations and all related investigative work. He received advanced training in polygraph techniques at the International Polygraph Studies Centre, under the guidance of some of the most renowned experts in the field. Johan was trained as a Special Investigator by the United States Department of State at the U.S. Diplomatic Security Training Centre in Washington, D.C. His career in the U.S. included serving as a Special Investigator at both the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria and the U.S. Consulate in Sandton. Johan’s investigative expertise is further bolstered by his 20-year tenure as a Detective with the South African Police Service, where he investigated a wide range of criminal cases. His diverse background in polygraphy, special investigations, and law enforcement positions him as a trusted and highly qualified professional in his field.
MEGAN RHEEDERS
Megan fulfils the role of General Manager at True Lies, having joined the company in 2010. She is a senior member of the team who manages all aspects of operations and financial management in the central True Lies office. Although not formally accredited as an Investigator, she is central to its operation, has an extensive understanding thereof and is able to professionally assist and support our vast client base with all enquiries and requests, as directed to the office.
SIMONE DAMSTER
Simone joined True Lies Forensics in February 2023 and has since played a pivotal role within the organisation. She is primarily responsible for managing and compiling forensic reports, processing evidence, and ensuring that all information disseminated to our clients is accurate, coherent, and linguistically sound. Simone executes these duties with ease and to the highest professional standard.
In addition to her core responsibilities, Simone assists with client liaison and supports various peripheral investigative tasks as required. She approaches every assignment with efficiency and reliability. Her keen attention to detail and unwavering professionalism make her an vital member of the team.
EMILY REEVES
As the newest addition to our team, having joined True Lies in February 2025, Emily fulfils the role of biometric fingerprint officer & office administrator. She manages all aspects of operation relative to our biometric fingerprint criminal record enquiry service, while at the same time also supports various aspects of marketing, client liaison, and peripheral investigative responsibilities which are assigned to her. Emily works unsupervised and is highly efficient in concluding these duties, providing a very professional service to the many clients and individual candidates making use of these services on a daily basis.
We feel privileged to have her on board and look forward to watching her develop in terms of our specific field of expertise, in the years to come.
